ServiceHub is pleased to welcome the Interpreter Services department at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) as a valued customer. As a particularly busy institution being supported by a large department of staff interpreters, entry of their service requests is automated via an integrated link between ServiceHub and the Cerner scheduling system (tied into their EPIC patient management system) already in place at BCH.  The secure interface, consisting of HL7 messaging, sends notices of future appointments to ServiceHub and receives queries of patient demographic information from ServiceHub for on demand requests.  In addition to an automated assignment scheme, interpreters can also be assigned manually to requests by department dispatchers.  The overall goals of this new partnership is to increase productivity and to improve documentation of departmental activity.
